Corporate Transparency Update Part II

On March 2, 2025, the Treasury Department announced that it will not enforce fines or penalties against U.S. citizens or domestic reporting companies.​  It will instead focus enforcement on foreign reporting companies.  Treasury is expected to issue new regulations regarding this enforcement.

Different bills have been introduced to repeal the CTA, including one by Senator Tommy Tuberville, R-AL.  Preferably, Congress repeals the law, so that it cannot be revived, based on who the President is.
